This is a new project I have been working on. I am still working on making up my mind about the fitting of these two pieces of glass. I have learned that sometimes even if you want to finish a piece, it is best to set it aside for a little while and the solution will come to me. I think I am almost there. Here is my process so far...

Nine legs...
Here are three pictures of a piece I had started a couple of years ago and decided to finally complete. The coldworking of those little feet were of course, the most time consuming part of this project.

Transmogrification...
One of my winter projects had to do with a common theme of mine, a creature in the midst of its transmogrifying state. This half fish half human being is set in a body of water. I started by making a few ruff sketches and jumped quickly in the making stage. I carved both wax and clay and cast this piece using clear, pale grey and yellow gaffer glass. I am quite pleased with this but I have plans to push this idea further.
Spring catching up
This blog has been shamefully neglected for the past few months spring is now in full swing. I will share with you some of my work from this winter in order to catch up to my current project developments. To begin, here is two final pictures of "Swimming Bird" the project I was working on when I wrote one of my last post.
